Every age group, every Sunday.
We run dedicated programmes for every stage of childhood and adolescence. Each group meets at the same time as the main service so the whole family worships together — just in different rooms.
Babies & Toddlers
A calm, nurturing crèche space for your littlest ones. Trained caregivers keep babies safe and settled while parents enjoy the service. We follow your home routine as closely as possible.
Pre-School
Bright, play-based learning that introduces big truths in small, age-right ways. Stories, craft, movement and song fill each Sunday for this age group.
Foundation Phase
Interactive Bible teaching, memory verses, games and creative activities. Kids in this group begin to own their own faith in a warm, structured environment.
Primary
Deeper discussion, relevant teaching and growing friendships. This group bridges childhood and early adolescence with honest conversations and solid biblical grounding.
Tweens
A dedicated space for young teens navigating big questions. Real talk, real community, and teaching that takes their stage of life seriously.
Students
Our senior high school group runs its own programme on Sunday mornings with student-focused worship, teaching, and community — preparing young adults to lead and serve.

Arriving for the first time with kids? The whole process takes about five minutes and our team will walk you through it. Here is what to expect step by step.
01 Head to the Kids Zone
When you arrive, follow the Kids Zone signage. Our welcome team will direct you — you won't need to find it on your own.
02 Register your child
First-time families complete a quick registration form at the desk. We capture your child's name, age, any allergies or medical notes, and your contact number.
03 Collect your security tag
You'll receive a numbered security sticker for your child and a matching one for you. These numbers are unique to your family for that Sunday.
04 Drop off and settle in
A team member takes your child to their age-group room. For babies and toddlers, feel free to stay and settle them before heading to the service.
05 We'll reach you if needed
If your child needs you during the service, your tag number will appear on the screen in the main auditorium. No loudspeaker announcements.
06 Check-out at the end
At the end of the service, return to the Kids Zone with your matching security tag. We release children only to the registered adult holding the correct tag.
Your child's safety is non-negotiable.
Every adult who works with children at The Crossing has completed a formal background screening process and received child safety training before they ever work with a child. This is not optional — it is required of every volunteer and staff member without exception.
Our child safety policy follows current South African child protection legislation and is reviewed regularly. If you have questions or concerns, you are welcome to speak to one of our team before or after any service.
We maintain a strict two-adult rule: no child is ever alone with a single adult in any room. All Kids Zone rooms have clear sightlines and open-door policies.
What does a Sunday actually look like?
Every Sunday is structured, but never stiff. Here is a typical morning for kids and students at The Crossing — from the moment they arrive to the moment they find you after the service.
Kids (Babies to Grade 7)
Children are welcomed at the Kids Zone from 15 minutes before the service starts. After check-in, each age group moves into their own room where the morning opens with upbeat worship music written for kids. A short, story-driven Bible lesson follows — told with visual props, video, or creative drama depending on the age group. Younger children move straight into craft or play-based activities; older primary kids close with a short group discussion and memory verse before their parents collect them.
Students (Grade 8–12)
Our Students programme runs at the same time as the main service. The morning opens with student-led worship and moves into a relevant, honest teaching session on faith, identity and everyday life. There is space for questions and real conversation — nothing is off limits. Students finish at the same time as the main service so families leave together.
